New Secretary of Childhood Appointed in Buenos Aires

The Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, led the first working meeting today with her teams alongside the new Secretary of Childhood, Adolescence, and Family, Juan Ordóñez. This meeting took place after Ordóñez was appointed last Friday to replace the outgoing Yanina Nano Lembo, who will take on a new role within the ministry.

Juan Ordóñez comes from being the Director of Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Human Capital and has extensive experience in the private sector, having held positions such as Country Manager of Codere, a significant gaming operator in the province of Buenos Aires. He was also the executive director of Barrick Gold Corporation in Argentina, a company dedicated to gold extraction, and Vice President of Corporate Communications for South America at Herbalife.

In his career, Ordóñez was also in charge of corporate affairs at YPF S.A. and communications at Grupo Roggio. The Executive highlighted that the management of Human Capital will continue to follow the directives of President Javier Milei for a more efficient and reduced State.

For her part, Ordóñez's predecessor, Nano Lembo, became involved in controversy following the approval of the purchase of a coffee maker for 2 million pesos, which also triggered the resignation of the Undersecretary for Administrative Management, Constanza Cassinola. Minister Pettovello's department has experienced the highest number of changes since the start of the liberal government last December, with a notable number of resignations and dismissals.
